Sorry to hear that McDonalds isn't doing any better overseas than they are here in the colonies.

For what it's worth, since we left Las Vegas and came to Ely, things have been much better. Of course, this is a franchise location, and from the anecdotal evidence we've already uncovered, franchisees run a much tigher ship on the whole than the corporate stores....

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ON THE LOOSE AT MCDONALDS

Recently I made a valid complaint to McDonalds customer services dept. about McDonalds poor standards at thier Harben Parade branch at Swiss Cottage, London NW3. The complaint concerned slow service, abrasive attitudes, and matters about unacceptable hygeine standards.

The complaint was passed on to the store by customer services, following which the store's manager, Bakry, promptly banned me from the store. He did not deny that my complaint was valid, but was told that I was banned simply becauseI I had made the
complaint in the first place. Their management team consists entirely of immigrants, having come here on dodgy
visas and the like, and all of which in favour of my unjust ban, which shows how much we are now under the control of illegal immigrants.

Perhaps this is consistent with McDonalds training practices. It would appear that you have to accept their adverse practices without question or suffer the consequences, as I myself
did.

...and in the grand scheme of things, that's why people get mad at Dobbs. He at least appears sincere, as opposed to the smarmy appearance of the others on CNN.

Actually the bulk of the programs on CNN are not news, but commentary.
Mr. Dobbs' program is just drastically divergent from the rest of the commentary heard on CNN.

I disagree with you about Dobbs. Not because I believe he is wrong but because there is a difference between the type of show that Dobbs is on and the others. Mr Dobbs is a "news" program and he view crosses the line into his news reporting

Dear Sir

The constitution is an old document that spoke to the people of its time- the ideas and intent may well be timeless but strict application and interpretation is as misguided as those who deny evolution because of their strict interpretation of an other famous document written almost two thousand years age.

I agree that both parties have ignore the people and that lobbyist are a cancer to a democracy, but you will not change the situation by sending a constitutional fundamentalist to the white any more that we would change a religion by resorting to fundamentalism. The future must be changed by visionaries who understand the subtleties and nuances of today and are prepared to shape the future with a clears understanding of the present.

There are some people who believe that there are principles on which this nation was founded.

It's this pesky piece of paper called the Constitution.

Both parties have made a practice to ignore it regularly. Mr Paul has consistently applied the test of constitutionality to every vote.

EVERY candidate in BOTH parties panders to special interests touting unconstitutional measures. Paul doesn't.

I recognize that it is highly unlikely that he will win. However, if he can bring issues to the table that the "Neo con machine" won't mention (and the average Joe Sixpack won't hear from his nightly dose of misinformation) then it's totally worth it.

The point is a stand for principles. Something that few if any elected politician in Washington has today. I know, principles, just like morals and honesty, are outdated in this "screw everone else, gimme mine" world today...but I remember a quote by Alexander Hamilton...

Those who stand for nothing fall for anything...
